Brief History of the Department

Chemistry Department was established in the year 1983. Since then Mr. E. B. Pathan had worked as Head of Department. After his retirement, Dr. J. K. Patil took charge of department. From 20th March 2013, Dr. S. A. Kamble has been working as Head of Department. There is gradual increase in strength of the students.

Academic year 2013-14 is remarkable year in the history of this department because the college has succeeded in commencing the M. Sc. Programme in Physical Chemistry. Thus the department is offering UG and PG course for students of Islampur and adjoining rural area. Many students have benefitted and now serving the society and contributing in national development.
