The department of Geography was established in 1971 for the third year students. As this is one of the oldest colleges of this period there was not a single geography department in the taluka as well as the adjacent talukas. As per the need and demand of the student college started sub geography at the degree level. Department has maintained its academic standard since from the beginning. The strength of the students for degree level is affected due to emergence of the other colleges and departments. In the academic year 2020-21 there are 36 students in B. A. III. Many students of our department are working in different fields of society foe ex. Education, civil services, revenue department, defense, politics etc.
Devoted faculties Mr. D.G. Gaikwad, Mr. S. S. Shrikhande, Mr. K. S. Kushire, Mr. J. D. Mulik, Major P. A. Shitole, Dr. Arun Patil Mr .S. T. Patil, R. M. Kamble, Shri D. B. Patil, were used their potential to strengthen department. At present Dr. Arun. B. Patil is working as Principal of college and Capt. S. K.Mane is working as Head of the department.

Sc. I. student who has passed XII Science are admitted on first come first served basis. The reservations are given as per Government norm.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
Marathi is the mother tongue of most of the students. But the medium of instruction is Marathi for B.A and English for B.Sc.

There are 1440 Text and reference books and 2 journals in the College library. In the departmental library 92 Text and reference books, 11journal is available to the students. Issue register is maintained for last 3 5 years.
1 computer and 1 printer are available for faculty and student. UGC granted COC Course in GPS to department and dept established a well equipped lab with 10 computers and 6 GPS Sets with internet connection containing one printer.

PARTICIPATION OF TEACHERS IN ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL COUNSELING OF STUDENTS:
- Internal Evaluation Scheme: -
Department prepare programme for academic year to conduct class-test for all classes. According to this schedule we conduct practical batch-wise test of each class. The students solve the question in a note book and get it checked. In the test, students have to answer randomly selected question from the question bank. After evaluation and recording the marks, answer sheet of the test are returned to the students. This scheme helps the students to improve the academic performance.
