| Brief History of the Department |
With the inspiration of Principal V. R. Pungaonkar and under the leadership of Prof. C. K. Choutre department is established at Islampur in 1982 fulfill the need of students from rural area. After that, department was really shaped under the guidance of former Principal V. B. Synakar. After that, Post-graduate department specialization with Clinical Psychology is established in 2004. Every person of this Institution always supporting for the development of the department. Department is well equipped with qualified and expert faculty. Ex HoD of Dept. C. K. Choutre retired in 2006 and Dr. M. G. Jadhav had run the dept. successfully up to 2017. From July 2017 Prof. G. B. Kamble working start as Head Of the Department. Department has established its name and fame in academic and mental health scenario.

Department of Psychology actively run counseling center in our College. Students who faced educational, career, vocational, personal, familial and survival problems, they have visit to our counseling center and got a new way of their life. Students who faced a mental health connected problem, it will be referred in mental hospitals. Today counseling center actively done very important role in students life and beneficial them. Every year average 50 students take benefit of counseling center. Sometimes peoples who suffer in their family problems, they come our counseling center and we help us |
